VISTA launches open access plan for individuals
Affordable benefit rich plans offer extensive physician network, no
specialists referral
SUNRISE – (February 28, 2007) – Vista Healthplan of South Florida, Inc. (VISTA)
announced today it has expanded its growing portfolio of products with the
launch of its open access plans for individuals, ages 6 months to 64-years old.
The health benefit plans which were effective February 1, 2007, offer
comprehensive health benefits, an extensive physician network and self referral
to any participating specialist.
“Many consumers are spending more than they have to for health insurance,” said
Peter Joseph, VISTA’s senior vice president of commercial sales. “You no longer
have to buy an expensive PPO plan to enjoy affordable comprehensive health
benefits, a huge physician network and the freedom to see a specialist without
a referral.”
VISTA’s individual open access health maintenance organization (HMO) plans
include dental and vision coverage; a network of more than 6,000 physicians;
fixed out-of-pocket copayments; preventive health services and an extensive
drug formulary. The plans also include a discounted fitness club membership at
any of the 500 participating fitness clubs in Florida; a web-based smoking
cessation program; and a customized online health and wellness program that
utilizes interactive tools, phone coaching, peer community support and a
rewards system.
