Vista Healthplan awarded Florida Healthy Kids contract
Florida's largest Healthy Kids insurer adds 1,700 new members in Leon County
HOLLYWOOD - October 1, 2003 - Vista Healthplan Inc. (formerly Healthplan Southeast) announced today that it has been awarded the Florida Healthy Kids contract for Leon County. Vista Healthplan (VISTA) is Florida's largest Healthy Kids insurer with more than 80,000 members.
Effective today, 1,700 uninsured school-age children in Leon County will receive health care benefits and access to VISTA's outstanding network of physicians and hospitals. The plan will provide the children with medical and prescription drug benefits. Other benefits include preventive care, nutritional and mental health counseling and participation in VISTA's asthma and diabetes disease management programs.

Corporation to provide health benefits to the state's uninsured children," said Rosa Cozad, vice president of government programs for VISTA. "Access to our network of physicians, preventive health care and other services will help keep these children healthy, in school and provide care and protection when they need it most."
